Physical disability
Children can have physical disabilities for various reasons. These include muscle problems, issues with the spine, brain-related conditions, or injuries. Sometimes, these disabilities happen on their own. Other times, they might come with other challenges like learning or sensory problems. Every child or young person with a physical disability is different. Taking care of a child with a disability can make everyday tasks more challenging.
The most common causes of physical disability include:
- muscular dystrophies
- spina bifida
- cerebral palsy
