CFHD Safeguarding Team: NSPCC walk for children
On the 19 December, Children and Family Health Devon’s Safeguarding Team, (along with their dogs š¾) completed a 5km walk at sunrise, in the rural Devon countryside, raising over Ā£700 for the NSPCC.
This is the team’s third year fundraising for the NSPCC, the leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands.
Every childhood should be full of joy and free from abuse. By supporting the NSPCC, we can help change children’s lives;
- £54 could pay for a Childline supervisor for 2 hours, supporting our volunteer counsellors.
- Ā£150 could pay for one helpline practitioner shift, supporting adults worries about a child’s welfare.
- Ā£300 could pay to answer 75 children’s calls to Childline when they need to be heard.
