CFHD Open Day success

On 19 September, CFHD welcomed children, young people and families to their Open Day at Evergreen House in Exeter. The event provided an opportunity for families to find out more about CFHD, meet some of our amazing teams and discover the support and services available to them.

CFHD were delighted to have colleagues from a range of pathways, including Community Children’s Nursing, Urgent Care, Speech, Language and Communication, Specialist Learning Disability and the Participation Team. Visitors were able to chat with teams, ask questions, find out more about the support available and receive advice and signposting to other services that work alongside CFHD.

The day was also all about having fun and spending time together. Families and young people enjoyed a variety of activities, including face painting, apple painting, creating autumnal crowns, making animals from clay and natural items such as leaves and pinecones, painting, designing their own hats and scarves, sensory toys and play fishing.

It was fantastic to see families getting involved, being creative and having the opportunity to connect with CFHD colleagues in a relaxed and welcoming environment. CFHD teams really enjoyed meeting everyone who came along and hope the day helped families feel more connected to the services and support available within CFHD and the wider community.

A huge thank you to all our CFHD colleagues who supported the event and helped make the day such a positive, welcoming and enjoyable day for children, young people and families.
